Ladies, It’s Not ABOUT You!

Fellas, how many times have ya heard it?

She’s upset about something. Something you did, or somebody else did, or somebody else did a long time ago. You’re trying to mollify her, explain to her, or defend yourself.

Then it comes: “It’s not ABOUT you!”

We never know what the hell they actually mean by that statement. We only know it’s time to run for the Hills.

But now, we DO know what it means. We’re watching it happen with election aftermath. Women appropiated the election themes, and now they are appropriating the losing grief, in a really obnoxious, aggressive way.

They’re making it ABOUT them.

Just when the heck did this election become about women? When did this rapturous, joyful embrace of a completely flawed candidate kick in? When did ALL the themes we could have run on come down to abortion rights, Trump is scary, and Girl Power?

“Oooh, oooh, teacher, call on me! I know this one!” July 21st, that’s when, the day Biden dropped out and endorsed Kamala.

About 90% of the way through a Presidency, we flipped to Girl Power.

We rolled out Taylor, then Beyonce, then J Lo, with a profane dash of Cardi B. Michelle came out – late! – and did that other Angry Girl act of “Please Seeeee Us!!”

Say What? You’re right there! We not only see you, we hear your damn screeching voice right in our ear, and it sounds admonishing and not a little annoying.

When we finally realize that many men aren’t along for the ride, and see some ethnic demarquations, we roll out that old girl over, Barack, to shame black and Latin men into voting for someone they don’t support.

Respect voters with real policy? Have an actual message for blue collar men that want to save themselves before they save the world? Speak to Nascar and Rural America? Nah! Guilt and Girlpower, baby!!!

And with the loss – get ready, fellas – it’s not ABOUT you! The crying, the hysteria, abstinence threats, militant statements, absurd Handmaiden’s Tale bemoaning, they’re acting like this election result is a crime against women, instead of all of us.

This writer posted multiple warnings and objections to this ticket. Walz was a disastrous, weak choice, a soft-bellied, harmless old guy that projects not a single macho quality. We can’t name  a striking masculine figure in Kamala’s entourage, or even in the Dem party, now.

(Straight up, it’s not Pete Buttigeg, no matter how much you yell at traditional men to embrace homosexuality, it’s not Pete Buttigeg. Accept it.)

I drank with a black male friend after the election. He didn’t bother to vote. His life is not worse than it was 4 years ago, he just had no reason to bother. He feels the dem party has been feminized, and wants no part of it,

I posted that, and got this tired girl-ism, from a dude: “feminized? What does that EVEN mean?” “Even Mean” is right up there with  “Actual F?” as dumb girl expressions that need to go away.

“We got this Jon!”  “You’re underestimamating Girl Power,”  “You’re off the rails, Jonny!”

This is the crap I heard when I wrote about this flawed ticket, warned us that we were sprinting into a wall.

Girls, you took the ball. DEMANDED the ball. You completely flubbed it, and now want to find an “ism” to blame, instead of owning the result.

That’s not equality, that’s DEI excuse-making.

Ya rolled out bimbos that sing, not people that have wide infuence.  Beyonce and J-Lo are as popular for their big butts as they are any song you can name.  Cardi B’s last hit was a profane, women-objectiifying mess called “Wet A$$ Pu$$y.”  Taylor flashes her body as much as she does her talent.

That’s the ERA in action, that’s supposed to impress us that you can lead a country during a difficult time? Cardi B’s wet a$$ pu$$y vs. Putin and Xe?

You avoided policy questions like they were a drunk guy at a bar leering at you. You essentially put down any body that questioned the choice or strategy, especially if they were men.

Now you want to make the grief all about you? After we’ve all battled Trump-ism and MAGA for  a decade now, knocking on doors, making phone calls, working on campaigns, and writing, writing, writing, this loss is about YOU?

Here’s what men are saying now: “ Please SEEE me! Please HEAR me! It’s not ABOUT you!”

And let’s retire that dumb expression while we’re at it.
