Florida GOPers: fed money is good now, when it’s time for taxpayers to pay for your decision to live in a flood plain. You get “paradise” most of the time, crow about independence and liberty, and proudly wave your redneck flags.
Until you get broken by reality.
I don’t want to pay for the risk associated with your life decisions, especially the ones that are indulgences. Living in a flood plain, cuzya like the weather and politics, is an indulgence. If you can’t afford it, move.
But hurry up and pass a few more hate laws before ya do, so if ya drown first, you can high-five your bent vision of Christ.
Florida, swim in the mess of climate change, wallow in the muck, float on your dinghies, while you decry everything non Southern Baptist, six gun atchur side. Maybe you can shoot the next hurricane, or wave a flag at it (which some idiot actually did, let’s call him Ultimate Florida Guy).
I’m not joining the cornball rally. Florida has plenty of time and resources to better prepare for climate catastrophe, and is instead making unnecessary gun-liberty and anti-queer laws instead.
People that move to Florida WANT to, it’s not a destination for people with few choices.
Pay for your own indulgence, individuals. And instead of voting to stem the homosexuality flood, maybe worry about the actual floods in your streets now. And more importantly, the next ones.
